Marie Parsons

Marie Parsons has always loved painting and drawing but didn’t start her painting career until 1994 following 13 years as an art teacher.  Having studied painting and drawing with Robert Hannaford, Marie’s works strongly feature striking compositions and excellent use of colour.  She likes to experiment with many different mediums including oils, pastels, watercolours charcoal and pencil.  Her favourite subjects are still life and on site landscapes, preferring to paint subjects that have rustic qualities.  Marie’s works have been exhibited frequently in South Australia and in Sydney and she has consistently been well received in art competitions throughout the country.
